St George is centered around it's large horseshoe shaped bay.
The beach is long and often is suitable for surfing during the
maestro's (wind) that blows in from the sea. Although St George
is the center for many archeological finds the main reason it is
known is as a tourist resort. There are several nice bars and
tavernas spaced out along it's curving beach. This resort is even
quite popular out of season for those that linger. In the high season
St George is very popular with tourists, especially familes.
